Mary G. Griffith

Mary G. Griffith practices in the Toronto office of Maclaren Corlett LLP. She focuses primarily on business law, particularly on legal issues related to advertising, marketing and intellectual property. Her regulatory, advertising and marketing practice covers all product types, including drugs (over-the-counter, prescription, natural health products), food, cosmetics and medical devices. Her practice also includes wills, trusts and estate planning.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University (1975), an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto (1979) and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall (1999). She is also a trademark agent. Mary was called to the bars of Ontario and New York in 2001. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Mary had an extensive business career, holding a number of senior marketing executive positions with major multinational corporations. She is a consultant to Advertising Standards Canada. Listed in Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006, Mary has been voted by her peers as one of the leading advertising and marketing lawyers in Canada.
